NPCI Launches PAi, AI based Chatbot

National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has initiated an Artificial Conversation Entity like Chatbot called PAi, which is based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The objective is to create awareness for digital finance in the country among platforms like FASTag, RuPay, and UPI.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), npci.org.in, is an umbrella organization for operating retail payments and settlement systems in India.

“We are glad to unveil AI-powered Pai for our users. In this fast paced world, addressing user queries is the need of the hour. We believe PAi will create entirely new user experiences that are as natural and easy as conversations, help users know about our products and in-turn promote digital payments,”

Kunal Kalawatia, Chief of Marketing – NPCI said

PAi — can be called as Personal Artificial Intelligence — is used to get information about NPCI platforms and products which will be available for 24/7. Users can ask their queries via text or voice to which they get automated responses. At present, it is available in English and Hindi languages. Soon PAi will be available in other languages. NPCI’s PAi is available for NPCI FASTag, NPCI RuPay, NPCI UPI, and other NPCI websites.

PAi has been developed by CoRover Private Limited, a Startup based in Bengaluru.
