Sony Unveils Vision-S Concept Electric Car at CES 2020

CES2020 is going on and Sony surprises with the prototype of an electric car. The car is named Sony Vision-S and the sedan looks sexy enough to gains everyone’s attention. The Japanese company packed the car with 360 Reality audio, multiple displays, 33 sensors.

The different sensors ranging from Ultrasonic to CMOS Image, Sony include the best sensors. Sony calls this as Oval sensing. The zero-emission sedan is designed with collaboration with industry players such as Bosch, Nvidia, Qualcomm, ZF, Blackberry, Continental, etc.

This prototype embodies our contribution to the future of mobility.

The sedan is powered by a Newly designed EV platform in collaboration with Magna. Vision-S got a pair of 200-kilowatt motors that enable the swift from 0 to 100km/h speed in just 4.8 seconds. Is Sony trying to give competition to Tesla?

The top speed of Vision-S is 240 Km/h. The electric car features advance-cruise control, level 2+ driver assistance and can reach level 4 too as the car is equipped with 5G, Cloud AI, Machine Learning that enables the car to park automatically.

Vision-S can also adjust the temperature of the car too if any passenger feels sleepy. Users can control the car functions via smartphone too. Sony hasn’t revealed much about the car and its mass production.
