455K Turkish Card Details on Sale; $3 Each

Group-IB has detected a massive cards dump on Joker’s Stash, the largest carding shop that contains the details of more than 455,000 Turkish Cards.

The cards are uploaded in lots of four (30K + 30K + 190K + 205K) between October 28 to November 27. The black market cost is expected at around $0.5 Million. The cards belong to the top 10 Turkish Banks.

Cards from Turkey are very rare on cardshops. In the past 12 months, this is the only big sale of payment cards related to Turkish banks.

Group-IB told ZDNet

The cards are sold for $3 each for two lots and $1 each for the rest two lots. The following card details are sold:

  • Card number
  • Card expiration date
  • Card CVV/CVC
  • Cardholder name
  • Cardholder details like E-mail, and phone number

A breakdown of the data indicated that all the cards could have likely been compromised online either due to phishing, malware or increased activity of Java-Script sniffers.

Dmitry Shestakov, Head of Group-IB сybercrime research unit

Group-IB has notified local authorities about the cards dump for necessary actions. The source of the data leak is still unknown.
